In the past, the textile industry only cares about end pollution control, the next step is to promote the whole process of control, targeted precision pollution control. Wen Zongguo, a professor at Tsinghua University's School of Environment, believes that the adoption of clean production processes and equipment, especially the replacement of green chemicals, should be an important direction for the sustainable development of the textile industry in the future.

From the point of view of recycling of waste textiles, compared with developed countries, the proportion of recycling in China's textile industry is still low, the next step should be through the extension of producer responsibility and other initiatives, so that enterprises not only responsible for product quality, but also for its recycling and waste disposal responsibility.

Textile products more "excellent", strengthen the entire industrial chain of fine processing technology research and development, to high-end products to open up the market.

Zhang Yansheng, principal researcher of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, believes that the textile industry should tell the story of science, technology, innovation and talent in the future, and enhance the division of value chain position in the global industrial chain by developing high-end textile manufactured goods.

"Specifically, it is to integrate new materials, new technologies and domestic consumption upgrade trends, the development of high-end textile products with high comfort, easy care, anti-bacterial health care and other multi-functional, and constantly improve quality and added value of science and technology, expand the application of materials space, thereby opening up new market demand."
